Governance and Immutability
Neptune is designed to be governance-free and immutable long term
Neptune Protocol operates without governance. The protocol parameters are either predefined and immutable or algorithmically controlled by the protocol itself, eliminating the need for governance. The long term roadmap of Neptune is to fully remove contract upgradeability from the protocol.
There may be unforeseen bugs in the early days of Neptune Protocol or in the underlying Eclipse Network that require upgrades. Changing standards and upgrades may be necessary to ensure that the protocol and USDN remain fully compatible. Additionally, new collateral types may need to be added after launch based on various factors including underlying adoption.
